Phasmophobia: All Collectibles (& How to Get Them)

Jul 11, 2023

The Display Case area in the Phasmophobia lobby holds all manners of trophies, oddities, and human remains for veterans to display their collection.

In the lobby area of Phasmophobia, ghost hunters can convene and relax together as they await their next contract, and the new terrors that await them. Each player has an identical lobby area, but there is a collection area where players can proudly display the artifacts, items, and Cursed Possessions they have found in Phasmophobia.

Players can treat their collectibles in Phasmophobia as a display of their veteran ghost hunter status, and their expert knowledge of the occult. Or, they can simply use it to admire their life-threatening adventures against the paranormal. Although, it might be a tad weird to have collected bones from human remains in Phasmophobia.

Not only can players find bones and Cursed Possessions in Phasmophobia, but there lies a third and lesser-known secret for the display cabinet area. Players can flex their skills and their veteran status as ghost hunters through every trophy in Phasmophobia, which features special and limited events, providing the very best ghost-identifying experts with the treasures of a true ghost hunter.

As part of the display area in Phasmophobia, players can find a display case that can hold a set of bones. There are 21 bones to collect in Phasmophobia, and there will always be one bone per map that varies in difficulty and map size. There is a reward for taking a photo of the bone and collecting the bone, but once the bone has been picked up, it will remain in a display case for the player that decided to take a human bone back home with them.

On the top shelf of the bone case in Phasmophobia, players can find: A spine, skull, jaw, right scapula, and left scapula.

The middle shelf features: the right hand, right humerus, right ulna, right radius, ribcage, left radius, left ulna, left humerus, and left hand.

The bottom shelf features the final bout of bones that players can find in Phasmophobia: Right foot, right fibula, right femur, pelvis, left femur, left fibula, and left foot.

It may be hard for some players to fill their cabinet with every bone in Phasmophobia, considering there are over 20 of them, and each map and contract has a different one that spawns at random. This means players might find themselves picking up several jaw bones before they finally get their left-hand bone.

Another set of items that players will be able to see in their display area is Cursed Possessions that they found during their paranormal investigations. Luckily, these Cursed Possessions in Phasmophobia can’t trigger any devastating and terrifying ghost hunts, as players are safe in their lobby area, as well as the fact that these items are safely placed behind glass, like a museum of haunted treasures.

There are 7 Cursed Possessions that players can find in Phasmophobia, including 17 if they count the 10 individual Tarot Cards that are needed to fill up their display cabinet. The player that first picks up one of these Cursed Items will claim it for their inventory, regardless of whether they used the item in the contract mission or not.

Every difficulty except for Insanity will spawn a Cursed Item, which will remain in the same spot every game. However, what is random, is what item spawns, meaning players might have to play a few rounds before they have every Cursed Possession in Phasmophobia, especially every Tarot Card, considering some cards have a lower rate than others.

Every few seasons, Phasmophobia updates with a special event that can allow players to interact with bonus challenges for a limited-time reward. These rewards often give players a new trophy to fill their cabinet with, and some players can’t get these items due to the exclusive nature of their arrival, such as an event in 2022 that cannot be used and unlocked for a random Tuesday in 2023.

There are usually Easter, Halloween, and Christmas events, although the game has been known to experiment with April Fools and Riddles to keep players on their toes. It’s impossible to tell what special event awaits Phasmophobia next, but as of the Phasmophobia Ascension update, there have been 4 that could have graced the trophy cabinet in the display case area.

One of the most difficult challenges in all of Phasmophobia is the Apocalypse Challenge. To obtain any of the 3 Apocalypse Trophies, players must create a custom difficulty confirming either Bronze, Silver, or Gold Apocalypse challenge requirements. They will also need to be in single-player mode on the Sunny Meadows Mental Institution Map and complete 3 optional objectives, identify the ghost, and obtain a photo of the ghost.

All of these requirements are bizarrely difficult, making the Apocalypse Trophies some of the rarest in the game. Not only do players need to rely on their skills as solo players, but the evidence is lacking, meaning players need to understand how ghosts work in Phasmophobia inside and out to ensure they are correct. The fact that they have to risk their lives further with the custom difficulty, optional objectives, and ghost photo, means that death is essentially assured to those that attempt the Apocalypse Challenge, especially since the different tiers of Bronze, Silver, and Gold net different trophies to display.

The 2022 Halloween event saw Trick or Treat come to Phasmophobia. Players would find some maps in the lobby featuring a pumpkin sticker, to which they would be guided to the map that would feature a fixed set of carved pumpkins, each containing candies inside. If players wanted the Halloween 2022 Trophy from the Trick or Treat event, then they needed to complete the following in Nightmare difficulty:

Collect all candies in the maps, use a firelight to light up the newly carved pumpkin that has spawned around the map, and take a photo of the ghost that will now spawn in hunts with a pumpkin on its head. Doing this on every required map would provide players with the Halloween 2022 Trophy. Players would know that each step was working as they would hear a creepy laugh. However, this event made some players struggle, as heavy rain meant they needed to restart the map, due to the fact that the rain could blow out the candlelight from the pumpkins outside.

This snow globe trophy from the Christmas 2022 event is not as jolly as one might expect from the Holiday Season. It seems that demons never sleep, and Phasmophobia proved just that, even with the joyous Christmas decorations around the lobby and maps. Now, players had a new Holiday Sticker on the 7 maps required to pick up the trophy, but only as long as they were doing so in Nightmare mode.

Firstly, players had to find 6 cookies and add them to a plate. Once the plate had been completed, players could place said plate near the ghost room, and wait somewhere safe for the ghost to decide to eat the cookies. It’s best to not watch the ghost eat the cookies, as the player will have their vision obscured, and a hunt will start. However, after this, the ghost will wear Christmas outfits in snowy weather. All players have to do now is identify the ghost and leave, and repeat for all 7 maps to obtain the Holiday 2022 trophy.

The latest trophy to feature in Phasmophobia was the Easter 2023 event trophy. This one featured a range of different colored metallic eggs, with a large golden one in the center. This was by far the easiest of the event trophies to obtain for a few reasons, with one being the fact that it can be done on either single-player or multiplayer on any difficulty.

All players needed to do for the Easter 2023 Trophy was visit each of the 7 small maps and collect the hidden easter eggs that are featured within. Once all the eggs are found, a creepy laugh track will play and the objective will be completed. Players don’t even need to identify the ghost, and they can simply just leave to complete the objective. This would provide them with the Easter 2023 Trophy. Considering this is the latest trophy and thankfully the easiest, there’s hope that future Phasmophobia special event trophies will have a similar difficulty that does not risk complete death of the rather frightful ghost hunters.

Phasmophobia is out on PC, with a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S release scheduled for August 2023.
